As he does with all new program graduates, David in our Quality Assurance & Compliance Department contacted Mark in Florida to see if he could provide us with some feedback on his experience while in the program. This is what Mark had to say:


"David -

As we discussed this morning, there were a few times during the last 30 months or so when I never thought that I would see this day ... but I have finally graduated from The Credit Card Relief Program. The lesson for me, and probably countless others out there, is to not let this ever happen again.

I must commend your program. Even though there were some doubts when I started, all members of your team came through with flying colors. From detailed communication to endless patience, you made a very tough process as easy as possible.

Even though there are a lot of ads out there that don't put these kinds of programs in a positive light, you have proven the value of your service and handled things impeccably. But, a
s you said several times, the important thing for each and every one of our Clients is to never allow themselves to be placed in that situation again. CLIENT: patricia f., Pennsylvania

The Situation:

Patricia is a single mother and a hard worker. When Patricia was injured on her job, she eventually lost that position. Things began to look very grim financially. Unlike most of our Clients that have many credit cards, Patricia had a large account with one major bank card and used that card for everything. So she called that Creditor to ask for help; all she wanted was to lower her monthly payments. Unfortunately, she got the same response that many of our clients get..."NO".

The Solution:
Then Patricia heard one of our radio commercials and she decided to give The Credit Card Relief Program a call.

A few years later and Patricia has now graduated. According to her, "...everyone at CCR has been wonderful..." Not only is she very pleased with the settlement we were able to work out with that major bank, but also very happy with the way she was treated every time she talked to any of our Representatives. She felt that we were always "...understanding of her situation...". 

The Result:
With the elimination of her credit card debt, Patricia stated that she is now "...more at peace." And she has a more positive outlook on her financial situation and plans to use the money she was allocating to the Trust to pay for a new car. She maintains just one credit card with a low limit and pays that card off every month to help rebuild her credit.

CLIENT: tom B., New York

The Situation:
Tom's story is a little different than that of most of the graduates of The Credit Card Relief Program. Tom had a little less than $13,000 in credit card debt, but he wanted out from under that debt as rapidly as possible and for as little as possible.

The Solution:
Now, just 16 months later, we have helped Tom reach his goal: his enrolled debts have all been settled!

By going over his finances in great detail with our Underwriting Department when he enrolled in The Credit Card Relief Program, Tom and his Representative were able to structure a monthly allocation to the Trust that was over 4.5% of his enrolled debts. By paying that amount every month, never missing a payment and without having to provide any additional lump sum amounts, the mediation team at the law firm was able to quickly begin making compromise offers on his debts to his creditors. This meant Tom was able to accomplish his goal in those short 16 months.

The Result:
Tom says that his financial outlook is much brighter now. He keeps just one credit card with a low limit and pays the balance off completely each month to help reestablish his credit rating.

Tom's story is a clear indication that a Client's success in The Credit Card Relief Program is determined by their dedication to reaching their financial goals and their commitment to making the program work for them.

 

CLIENT: Bud b., ohio

The Situation:

Bud, a retired police officer, started his own small contracting company with his sons a number of years ago. There were the usual hassles - and debts - of running your own business, but being able to work with his sons every day certainly made it worthwhile. But then about four years ago Bud suffered a stroke. He was no longer able to work and keep up his end of the business. His personal finances began to suffer and making payments to his creditors was becoming harder and harder. So Bud called all those creditors and asked for assistance. None of them were willing to work with him.

The Solution:
Bud decided to look elsewhere; specifically, debt settlement companies. After doing some fact finding and then contacting several firms, he selected The Credit Card Relief Program. When asked why he chose The Credit Card Relief Program over all the others, Bud said it was simple: "...the Enrollment Specialist took an interest in my situation and put together a program for me that made the most sense..."

The Result:
Bud has now graduated from The Credit Card Relief Program and has nothing but good things to say about the Professional Services Department and the Client care that he received along the way. He said that his calls were always returned promptly; and that he felt especially reassured by the help our Representatives provided him when he hit a difficult patch with a couple of his enrolled accounts that were going "legal".

Bud managed to make consistent monthly payments into his Trust Account throughout his participation in The Credit Card Relief Program. It wasn't easy and there were a couple of "leaner" Christmases and birthdays, but Bud insists that it was well worth the small sacrifices he had to make. And because of Bud's unwavering commitment to the program, we were able to mediate with his creditors and settle over $44,000 of his enrolled debt in just three years!

Although still dealing with some lingering health issues, Bud says that he no longer has the problem of out-of-control credit card debt and that his financial outlook has improved tremendously.

 

CLIENT: mary K., New york

The Situation:
Mary, a very well intentioned person, was only trying to do the right thing - raise a godson who had lost both of his parents. That's what "godparents" do right? - step up to the plate when such a tragedy occurs in a child's life!

But now years later, Mary realized that through sympathy and sheer over compensation to provide the best she knew how for her godson, she had gone overboard and spent well beyond her means. Although by most standards her debts were rather small, Mary was confused and overwhelmed by them. She was borrowing money from several different sources to pay her bills each month.

Eventually, Mary understood that by providing too many things, help had been turned into entitlement: she decided enough was enough and made some very tough decisions, including saying "no" instead of "yes".

The Solution:
But Mary felt she needed some practical help so she called The Credit Card Relief Program. She worked hard at the program, stayed focused, funded her Trust Account, and made the life style changes she needed to.

The Result:
Mary graduated a while back from the program and in her words she feels "uplifted...each person I've spoken to at CCR has wings!" Mary's financial outlook is much brighter now compared to when she first enrolled. She owes nothing on her enrolled debts and for the first time in a long time has more money coming in than going out each month. In fact, she now has a healthy savings account, her car is paid for, she has no major creditors, her relationship with her godson remains strong, and she thinks she may be able to retire in 6 or 7 years. Mary tends to feel that we had a lot to do with that. But just like all of our other successful Clients, Mary is the real hero of this story.


Client: Robert K., California

The Situation:
As a retired business owner, Robert became a limited partner in another venture to supplement his income.  For a time, distributions from this operation were a nice complement to his Social Security income.  However, in one year, his income was reduced to approximately one-third of the preceding years, at which point he found himself upside down in debt to income and unable to keep pace making payments to his Creditors.  These Creditors were unwilling to work with Robert...his situation seemed hopeless.

The Due Diligence:
Robert turned to others for help.  Upon investigation, he determined a debt settlement program would be his best option.  After talking with three (3) companies, he learned some important things: 1. All were charging up-front fees with no guarantee of results, 2. Each were outsourcing the debt settlement work to another company, and 3. Inquiries with local BBB's (Better Business Bureaus) gave each of these three companies an "F" rating. 

The Solution:
Robert continued his research and found the Credit Card Relief Program.  Starting with a very good BBB rating, and a proven track record of successful Debt Mediation services since 1999 with the first true attorney driven program, he became convinced he had found the right solution.  Robert learned that the CCR Program uses real attorneys in his own state, and not only was his money deposited to a Trust Account for safe-keeping, but he was in complete control over the distribution of those funds.  ...Only with his approval, could funds be transferred to a Creditor.  In addition, Robert was even given a 90-day guarantee which provided provisions to seek a full refund of his money.   

However, not all the credit goes to the CCR Program.  Robert made some big adjustments too.  He rolled up his sleeves and got down to business.  He gave up a few golf outings and nice dinners so he could allocate money to adequately fund his Trust Account.  Additionally, Robert was able to fund his Trust with lump sum deposits.  One from an unexpected distribution from his new venture, and Two, by depositing a fairly significant amount of savings that he was able to build as a result of the discipline and encouragement provided by the CCR Program.

The Result:
You are never too old to graduate!  Graduation day came as no surprise to Robert.  He was never more pleased than to get out of debt in months instead of years, and saving thousands of dollars in future interest and fees.  It's a lesson for everyone.  The importance of managing money in good times and bad, before it manages you!  Robert thinks first before spending, uses cash for most purchases, is very careful about how and when to use Credit, and never buys unnecessary fun stuff on credit.  Robert's savings and limited lines of credit are for emergency, retirement, and only on occasion will he take a small portion and spring for something on his wish list.  Life is meant to be lived, but live responsibly Robert says.  Oh, and by the way, Robert has no outstanding balances on his credit cards and his car is paid off too! 

 

David Z. - Michigan

The Situation:
When David became a homeowner the number of offers he received for credit cards increased dramatically. Like most people would, David signed up for the ones that looked like they offered the best deals.

However, David is the first to admit that he used them unwisely and much too frequently - for everything. Before long he found he was only able to make the bare minimum monthly payments. Virtually all of his payments were being applied to the interest and little if any going to pay off the principle. He eventually realized that if things did not change he would be paying on these credit cards for the better part of the rest of his life! But he knew he could not do it alone - that he would need help.

The Solution:
Then David heard and started paying attention to our radio commercials - soon he called us.

The rest, as they say, is history. David has completed his participation in The Credit Card Relief Program and feels that one of the main reasons for his success while in the program was his conscientiously and consistently funding his Trust, allowing the Trust to quickly build up to the point where his debts could be settled with his creditors. And at a critical moment he was able to tap into some additional funds to make a one-time lump sum payment into the Trust to allow our mediators to settle a debt that had just gone legal.

The Result:
David was particularly happy with the relatively short amount of time it took to eliminate the vast majority of his enrolled debts. He now sees "...light at the end of the tunnel...". And he has taken the financial education he received while in the CCR Program and is applying it every day. For example, he now has only two credit cards, both with low fixed limits that he will not increase, and which he pays off completely every month he uses them. This not only keeps him out of credit card trouble, but is helping to rebuild his credit rating.

The Situation:
Cynthia and her husband’s reasons for turning to The Credit Card Relief Program for help are typical of a lot of our Clients: their required monthly credit card payments had gotten out of hand and they were struggling to make them. Then their creditors raised their interest rates and lowered their credit limits and their minimum monthly mandatory payment amounts skyrocketed.

The Solution:
As many of our clients have, Cynthia and her husband heard one of our radio commercials and immediately called us.

That was barely over 2 years ago, and Cynthia and her husband have now successfully completed their participation in The Credit Card Relief Program – and during those short 2 years we were able to successfully settle over $28,000 in debt for them.

Cynthia attributes much of their success to their being able to make consistent payments into their Trust Account and, when necessary, finding ways to make additional one-time lump sum payments to help our mediators settle some of their “trickier” debts. She was also very pleased with our Customer Care service, saying that her questions or concerns were always addressed and answered to her satisfaction.

The Result:
When asked about their current post-CCR Program financial situation, Cynthia said that there was a 180 degree difference between now and what their situation was before they joined The Credit Card Relief Program. She said that freeing themselves of those out-of-control monthly credit card bills has improved their cash flow and enabled them to actually start saving significant money for the future. She said that they had “…learned their lesson…”, including only keeping 1 credit card that they pay off each month in full. Never again, she concluded, would they allow themselves to slip back into the habits that brought them to The Credit Card Relief Program in the first place.
